Book Review: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth-Grahame Smith

“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains.”

One word to describe this book: AWESOME.

I have this funny feeling that mostly all the books I’m mostly interested these days are the most sought-after weird post-apocalyptic ones that is so weird filled with monsters and everything really supernatural. What I love about this book is that it’s a classic twist of events! Who wouldn’t love that? I have just been a big Jane Austen fan for reading Pride and Prejudice and I’m really on the verge of reading the rest of her wonderful novels too. I was just so in love with the Austenesque life.

Alright, this book is mainly the classic novel Pride and Prejudice with a funny twist of zombies beside the pages. I never expected this! I checked on Goodreads on the reviews and they are good as hell and I’m so in love with the cover! So I grabbed the chance and bought the book.

What I can say about this is that it’s an absolute original, even though it’s also the same with the classic novel, I felt how the characters are somehow connected to the zombie-effect with all the twist and turns and all the fighting and killing scenes. Of course, the love story of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy never went away and all the flutter in my heart are still fresh in my mind. I do love this book, it’s mysterious, thrilling and romantic at the same time! With all the comedy of morals and manners that is a Jane Austen signature.

I do recommend!! Read it with your heart’s content! (especially if you’re a huge Jane Austen fan)
